Hi, I’m Joanna Samra, the founder of Yocto Design. I’m an architect by training, but at heart, I’ve always been fascinated by the emotions behind what we create, the stories that make a moment, a place, or even a sketch come alive.

I started Yocto in 2020 with a simple belief: the most beautiful things aren’t just seen, they’re felt. Every illustration I make begins with a real memory - a photo, a feeling, a story. Through every line and color, I try to capture not just what something looks like, but what it means to the people who lived it.

Because at Yocto, it’s never just about the picture, it’s about the memory that stays long after.
